Stephen has been active in the real estate brokerage business for over thirty years. Beginning with the Dovos Corporation, an international real estate development consortium headquartered in New York City and Tokyo, Japan.
Stephen joined Landmark Real Estate Company in 1974 and became a partner in 1982. During his years with Landmark, he consulted for and marketed development properties in many high profile locations in North America. These locations included South Hampton, New York, Litchfield County, Connecticut, Pembroke, Bermuda, Naples, Florida, and Newport, Rhode Island, as well as numerous others. He has been actively engaged in the sale of luxury real estate, vacation and resort properties, hotels and shopping centers throughout the United States and Europe.
During 2003, Stephen launched a new alliance with an exclusive Christie's Great Estates affiliate, Ponvert-Battistoni of Millbrook and Rhinebeck, New York, opening their first affiliate joint venture office in Lakeville, Connecticut, and renaming the newly combined entity Portfolio Properties.
